At Flamborough School our intent is to develop children’s self belief and creativity through art, craft and design.
Through a child led approach, children are engaged, inspired and challenged. They are taught the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art. We encourage pupils to explore and record ideas and become proficient in drawing, paintign and other art and craft techniques. Topic linked to artists give pupils the opportunity to investigate and evaluate a wide range of creative outcomes as well as acquiring knowledge and an appreciation of great artists, craft makers and designers.
We have an annual Art Week that provides the opportunity to develop, refine and apply skills to a creative outcome.
